At long last, it’s camp season again and I don’t think I’ve ever been happier. I’ve been shooting tons of film lately. I’m working on a list of things to do this summer. I wanna go places and meet people and take their picture and record their stories. But for now I’ll just take pictures of my friends. We found that baby bird Samara is holding while setting up for camp, and Samara held it and fed it scraps while we figured out what to do with it. It wasn’t around too long to see the world.
I hadn’t been to Ben’s garage for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of a deck of cards and poker chips. So Ben invited some friends over for a game of $2.00 buy-in poker. Oh, and we each got a cigar. Coltrane in the background rounded out the evening.

The last picture is my favorite. I’ve quickly fallen in love with the manual flash on a remote cable… portable light, what a good idea.

Samara got these 3D glasses and poked the lenses out and she’s been wearing them everywhere. I think it’s kind of adorable. Oh, and that’s a turtle I saved on the way home from her house the other day.

Samara took this photo, and I really really like it. I love street photography and the best is when the people are acting natural, and the photographer is close up to the moment, and that’s all going on here. Other people have talked about it more eloquently than me.

My good friend Josh had his prom recently, and his girlfriend asked me to edit some of their photos.
